“What this site is”

Values for America publishes public records about federal officials and government actions, and SI-drafted constitutional analysis of them. By using the site you agree to these terms.

“Analysis, not advice”

Solutions, Founders’ Verdicts, Think Tank proposals, grades and scores are opinion and analysis, generated with software and published after automated checks, without individual human review. They can contain errors. They are not legal, financial or political advice, and nothing on the site is an endorsement of or opposition to any candidate or party. Founders’ Verdicts are simulations, not statements by real people. Always check the original source, which we link.

“Accounts”

• Accounts are free. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and use one account per person.
• Votes are for genuine individual opinion. Do not use automation, multiple accounts or other means to inflate or manipulate votes or rankings.
• We may suspend accounts that break these terms or abuse the site.

“What you submit”

You are responsible for grievances, proposals and other text you submit. Do not submit anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or that reveals someone else’s private information. You keep ownership of what you write, and you allow us to store and process it, including with SI, to provide the service, and to publish it where the feature you used says it will be public.

“Acceptable use”

Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site, its accounts or its review tools, and do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others. Our public records come from government sources and may be reused under those sources’ terms; please credit Values for America for our analysis.

“Corrections”

If you believe something we published is wrong, follow the corrections policy.

“No warranty”

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and may change or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Values for America is not liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.
