Proclamation on the Death of Senator Lindsey Graham

By the President of the United States of America A Proclamation Pursuant to the authority vested in me by Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States, and as a mark of respect for the memory and service of the Honorable Lindsey Graham, a Senator from South Carolina who served his country with distinction, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions for a period of 30 days from the date of this proclamation. The Secretary of Defense shall take appropriate steps to carry out this order. This proclamation shall take effect immediately and shall expire upon the conclusion of the 30-day period. This action is ceremonial in nature and is not subject to judicial review. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this [date].
