Revised Proclamation: Military Spouse Day, 2026

By the President of the United States of America A Proclamation Military spouses stand as pillars of strength, resilience, and unwavering support for our service members. They endure frequent relocations, separations from loved ones, and the unique challenges of military life, all while contributing to their communities, workplaces, and families. Their dedication bolsters our national defense and enriches our Nation. To honor these extraordinary Americans, the Congress, by House Joint Resolution 248 of May 5, 1999 (Public Law 106-50, 113 Stat. 240), has authorized and requested the President to issue a proclamation each year designating the Friday before Mother's Day as 'Military Spouse Day.' NOW, THEREFORE, I, [President's Name], President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 15, 2026, as Military Spouse Day. I encourage all Americans to join me in saluting military spouses and celebrating their immeasurable contributions to our military families and our great Nation.
